Our wastewater plant upgrade is currently being designed, with construction slated to begin later in 2017 and completed in 2020. The last major upgrade to the wastewater plant was completed approximately 30 years ago, so much of the facility is at the end of its useful life. This upgrade will also enable the District to remain compliant with the increasingly stringent regulations that are imposed on wastewater facilities by the EPA and state regulators.
