The Sanitation District first constructed wastewater treatment infrastructure consisting of lagoons and mechanical treatment in 1954. Regulations

Regulations for wastewater treatment have become increasingly more stringent and complex across the country. These more stringent regulations are having a dramatic impact on the cost of wastewater treatment, both for operations and for capital improvements required to meet the regulations. Security Sanitation District is no different, and these increased costs are reflected in our customer’s monthly bills.
