Delivering safe, reliable drinking water is a complex process. Beyond the water itself, it requires the infrastructure and maintenance of those systems to treat and deliver the water as well as to ensure compliance with regulations. All of these costs are factored into our water rates.

We provide water at a very good value — less than 1 cent per gallon. Our rates are among the lowest in the Pikes Peak region. When comparing the cost of treated water delivered to your home or business to other everyday goods, tap water is a bargain.

We set water rates and fees based on an independent rate study, which analyzes our operations, maintenance, debt service and capital requirements and recommends rates to meet those requirements. The rate analysts present their analysis to our board of directors and generally recommend new rates every three years.
