Delivering safe, reliable drinking water is a complex process. Beyond the water itself, it requires the infrastructure and maintenance of those systems to treat and deliver the water as well as to ensure compliance with regulations. All of these costs are factored into our water rates.

We set water rates and fees based on an independent rate study, which analyzes our operations, maintenance, debt service and capital requirements and recommends rates to meet those requirements. The rate analysts present their analysis to our board of directors and generally recommend new rates every three years.
